Abstract

This study investigates the critical relationship between community awareness management and the reduction of the most socially significant issue, namely child labor, and closing the gap between the current social reality and the desired goals of sustainable development. The well-being of the youngest members of our global society is not only a moral necessity but is also closely tied to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. The current study emphasizes the exposure of children to many dangerous situations, including the widespread issue of child labor, as an urgent concern.
The study highlights the tangible development of community awareness at all levels, primarily due to the proliferation of promotional means and the widespread use of community awareness channels such as social media. However, it still requires further development through the adoption of effective management principles and strategic planning from the perspective of a group of experts and stakeholders. This process is seen as a wake-up call for other relevant governmental bodies to address these critical social issues by implementing projects that ensure the elimination and reduction of these problems in society.
Thus, this study sheds light on the need to identify the gap between the current reality of the issue in society and the desired goals of sustainable development, in order to work towards closing this gap through planned steps aimed at addressing this critical issue, which hinders the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals that emphasize the necessity of providing a dignified life for children and families within the community.
It also highlights the urgent need for concerted efforts to alleviate the issue of child labor in order to achieve sustainable and just development.
This research contributes valuable insights into the ongoing global efforts to create a future in which every child enjoys their right to childhood, and sustainable development becomes an inclusive reality.
This is done through the distribution of 100 questionnaire forms to some employees in government agencies responsible for implementing community awareness, as well as those involved in executing development solutions and projects in the community, and some members of civil society.
