Abstract
The research aims to assess the strength of administrative competencies within Telecom Egypt and to reveal the level of attention towards employees’ performance. It seeks to determine the impact of administrative competencies on employee performance within Telecom Egypt. This research utilized a descriptive-analytical approach, employing a questionnaire as the data collection tool among a sample of 381 employees within Telecom Egypt.
The research found a statistically significant impact of administrative competencies on the performance of Telecom Egypt’s employees. Based on the research sample’s opinions, there was substantial support for administrative competencies, categorized according to their importance and strength. The ranking of the most prevalent dimensions was as follows: teamwork and collaboration competency, followed by team leadership, then decisiveness and enforcement, and finally, the competency of developing others. Concerning employee performance, the most crucial and influential dimensions were contextual performance, followed by task performance, and finally, adaptive performance. The research revealed that administrative competencies significantly affect task performance, contextual performance, and adaptive performance. In individual analysis for each dimension, the greatest impact of each administrative competency on performance was identified. For instance, teamwork and collaboration competency had the most substantial influence on task performance and adaptive performance, while decisiveness and enforcement competency held the most significant impact on contextual performance. These findings deepen our understanding of the role of administrative competencies in enhancing the performance of Telecom Egypt’s employees and direct attention towards specific administrative aspects contributing to greater improvements in employee performance.
