The Impact of Applying Governance Rules on Employee Performance from the Point of View of Administrative Employees at King Abdelaziz University in Jeddah: A Field Study
Abstract
This study aimed to identify the impact of applying governance rules on employee performance from the point of view of administrative employees at King Abdulaziz University. To achieve this goal, the researchers used the descriptive analytical method, and used a survey list as a tool for the study, for the purpose of collecting data. The study population consisted of all administrative employees at King Abdulaziz University, numbering (5744) employees. Due to the large size of the study population, a simple random sample was selected, and then (120) survey lists were distributed to the sample.
Consequently, the number of responses obtained by the researchers reached (80). The study reached many results, the most important of which was that there was an impact of (transparency, participation, and accountability) on employee performance from the point of view of administrative employees at King Abdulaziz University. There is a moderate application of governance rules.
The study also reached many recommendations: The most important of which is: There should be greater transparency through the presence of an employment description that clarifies the tasks and duties of each position at the university. The need to involve administrative staff in formulating the university’s general policies, through expanded work programs.
