The Impact of Servant Leadership on the Job Performance: A Fied Study in Karak Government Departments

Abstract

This Study aimed to analyze the impact of servant leadership on job performance in the government departments in karak. To achieve the objectives of the study, and answer its questions, tests its hypothesis,the descriptive-analytical method was used. The study pupulation consest of all of the employees of the job titels: (manager, manager assistant, head of department) in the Government department in Karak.
The analysis unit consisted of (200) individuals, whom were chosen by the comprehensive survey method. A questionnaire distributed to all study population, 180 questionaires has been retrieved, and 163 were useful for the analysis, As in the table number (1). Astatistical package for the social sciences (SPSS.19) used in processing, analyzing data, answer the questions and testing hypothesis. The study reached serval results, the most important of which are: The servant leadership level in the government department in Karak came to high degree, with mean (3.95),the job performance level came to high degree, with mean (4.31), there is astatistically significant impact of servant leadership and all its dimensions on job performance and all its dimensions, in the government department in Karak.
The study recommended the need to setting standerds for quality of service in the government department in Karak, directing those dimensions towards implementing activities that serve the community, delegating more powers to the managers of government departments in Karak, the necessary to conduct further researches to analyze the impact of servant leadership on another variables not included in this study, such as organizational excellence, conflict management.
