Author Guidelines

The following formal requirements must be adhered to when preparing research and studies for publication:

1- Structure of the research: The research or article should contain the following elements:

  • A cover page, which includes the research title, the author's name, position, the name of the institution they belong to, their full address, phone number, and email address, in both Arabic and English.
  • An abstract of the research, in both Arabic and English, not exceeding one page for each summary (about 250 words).
  • The main body of the research should include:
  • An introduction that defines the focus of the research, its problem, and its objectives.
  • A critical review of the literature and the scientific knowledge related to the research.
  • The hypotheses, themes, or questions.
  • The scope of the research.
  • The research methodology, which for experimental studies includes variables, sample size and composition, design, method of selection of the sample elements, the measures used and their characteristics, data collection methods, and statistical data analysis techniques. For theoretical research or those evaluating research literature and non-experimental studies in general, the methodological or analytical pillars used should be clarified, as well as the sources the researcher relied on, and the evaluation, comparison, or analysis tools.
  • The results and derived indicators or the outcome of the evaluation, analysis, or comparison, along with their comparison to previous research findings and the assessment of their theoretical and practical significance.
  • Footnotes: References (used and cited in the text only).
  • Appendices (to the minimum extent necessary).

2- Length of the research: The number of pages of the main body of the research (including references and appendices for regular research and articles) should not exceed 25 printed pages.

3- Printing specifications: The printing should be on A4 paper, with no more than 25 lines per page, leaving blank spaces (4 cm) at the top, bottom, and sides of the page.

4- Printing of tables and figures: Each table or figure should have a serial number and a title that reflects its content, with the table number and title printed at the top of the table, and the figure number and title printed at the bottom of the figure. The source of the table or figure should be indicated at the bottom.

5- Footnotes and references: Any subsidiary or detailed explanatory notes or additions should be clarified in the footnote of each page, with the minimum limit for them.

6- References in the text: All references – both Arabic and foreign – should be cited in the text by referring to the last name of the author (family name), and the year of publication in parentheses. For example: (Al-Alaq, 1983) (Abedin & Habib, 1987) (Marshall, 1984) (Hansen & Messier, 1986). If there are more than two authors for a single research, they are referred to as follows: (Mahjoub et al., 1983) and (Kaufman et al., 1986).

If there are two (or more) sources, they should be referred to as follows: (Al-Qattan, 1987; Al-Taweijri, 1988) and (Ferris & Porac, 1984; Locke, 1989). In cases of quoting, refer to the page or pages quoted from (Al-Alaq, 1983:50) and (Marshall, 1984: 50-53).

  • Reference list: A list of references should be included at the end of the research, alphabetically arranged by the author's last name (family name) or body, or by the title of the reference if there is no author's name. The list should not contain any reference not cited in the research. All bibliographic details for each reference must be completed (article or book title, year of publication, place of publication, author's name, and journal details in terms of issue, volume, pages, etc.)

Copyright:

  • The materials published in the journal reflect the opinions of their authors and do not necessarily reflect the views of the journal or the policy of the organization.

Publication Costs:

  • Publishing in the Arab Journal of Administration is free, and upon acceptance of the research for publication, the researcher must subscribe to the journal for one year to contribute to the costs of peer review, scientific revision, and publication.
